Here is my latest painting. It was a wedding gift for two good friends, Justin and Shawn. I always struggle doing gifts of paintings. There is one part of me that thinks, “How Full of yourself you are to think that for a gift people want a painting of yours.” But then the other half wants to do something meaningful and special and the only way I know how to do that is to paint something special to them. Especially if it’s their dog.

I almost backed out, but moved forward anyway. I am always embarrassed when I give it to them. But they seemed to really like it. My husband says love it. I just know how i love handmade/homemade gifts and I hope that it’s not too assuming to try to give that back to my friends.
